The mystery of biochemistry

So i will admit that i could spend my life in school, just talking all the classes that i could, and hoping that classes would be invented, but i realize that is a little impossible. I have taken grat inteserest lately in BIo chemistry, as most all that we have been discussing has direct influence on the lives that we lve. We as "educated, functional members of society" all understand the human genome was an amazing step. BUT (and that is a big but) it was kind of an easy project at heart. The real complexity comes in the application of all those nucleotidal interactions- mainly proteins and thier functions. The fact that 1 building block error in a very long sequence- an error percentage of less than 1/3 of 1 % yeah that small- can result in a major isssue like cystic fibrosis!
At the endof the tale each day, sitting learning all these things that talented , world renoun researchers are learning, i realized- this is not pre chance. The function and design of the human body shows the involvement of something more than chance.

Summer Semester begins!

So this semester, just to name them for future reference are:
Kinesiology
Microbiology/Lab
Intro to Org. Bio Chem
Exercise Phys

Kinesiology I have decided is a foreign language to most Americans, especially those that haven't brushed up on their Anat and Phys.
I am really into my Exercise Phys to tell the truth- to learn about the metabolism of foodstuff, and really dismiss these myths about the "real" weight loss capacities of drugs, and really think about the principle of use it or loose it. Pretty much all people, in a life stage or another are more physically fit, allowing for adaptation. Whether is it purely Cardio while you walk 5 blocks from where you park to were you do your business, all the way down to playing a game of pickup ball, or the turkey bowl on Thanksgiving. To contemplate "physical fitness" and capacity according to each person individually is so intriguing and really explains alot about who we are, and why we end up or will end up for that matter. We can learn so much about ourselves knowing what do do or don't physically. It would suprose me if your doctor in your exam started asking how often you get sustained physical activity even before he/she does anything else!
The moral of the story is, are you as fit for physical action as you thought you were?

WELCOME!

This is my Blog about the ups and downs and the daily grind of getting an education, and all the hoops to jump through to get through medical school. I will try to incorporate the basic steps for entrance and common errors in studying and applying ones self to the practice of medicine.
As an added bonus, you will also get my personal reflections on some classes and my opinions of various social problems related to the medical field, and probably what ever else I decide to post.
